PostX is a private, no-clout, no-AI social network for close friends
βοΈ Human-Crafted Content (Not AI-Generated)
-
Private & Secure Profiles:
Profiles are neither public nor searchable. You need to ask someone via another medium for their Account Code to find their profile and send a friend request. The Account Code can be changed at any time, and old codes will no longer work. Rotate the code, and you will no longer be findable.
-
Text-Only, High-Effort Content:
Purely text-based. This means no low-effort posts with edited pictures or cringe-worthy quotes in captions. You need to write down your thoughts and post them, which requires effort.
-
Mutual Friendships, No Clout:
No concept of followers or followees β if someone is your friend, then you are their friend. You aren't considered 'cool' for having more followers than people you follow.
-
Chronological Feed, No Infinite Scroll:
No algorithmic feed or infinite scrolling β just updates from your friends, and thatβs it.
-
Private Friend Count:
Your friend count is visible only to you. No ego boost from having many friends!
-
Focused Comment Threads (Discussions):
Comments are visible only to the user who posted and the user who started the comment thread. Essentially, only participating parties can see a specific comment thread. There's only one comment thread per post, per friend. We are calling these Discussions.
-
Simple Acknowledgement & Deeper Interaction:
Each post has a single OK button to acknowledge that you have read it. If you want to say more, start a Discussion. The OK count is visible only to the poster.
-
Full Content Control & Easy Deletion:
You have full control over all your content on the site. Anything you've created can be archived or deleted, and it will be hidden from or removed for everyone. One click deletes your entire account and its data. No worries about your old comments lingering.
-
Minimalist UI:
An unstimulating, high-information-density UI.
(PostX is a temporary name; we will come up with something better later!)
